The announcement of 5 main activities in Ninh Binh Festival
There are some new features in the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival in 2024.
The opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh Festival, themed “Flow of Heritage”, will take place on November 24 at 8:00 PM at Dinh Tien Hoang Square. This highly anticipated event will be broadcast live on VTV1 and social media platforms. Rooted in the history of Vietnam’s capitals, the ceremony will celebrate the nation’s heritage and cultural continuity.
“Flow of Heritage” will trace the journey of Vietnam’s ancient capitals, a journey of establishing, moving and settling the capital of the emperors. It begins with Hoa Lu, the birthplace of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang’s unified state. Hoa Lu was the first capital of Dai Co Viet - national emblem of Vietnam in the past. The program then moves to Thang Long under Ly Thai To and culminates in Hue, the cultural hub of the Nguyen Dynasty. Each capital’s unique historical contributions will be showcased, emphasizing their lasting impact on Vietnamese identity.
Connecting these capitals, now UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the program reflects over a thousand years of Vietnam’s cultural and architectural legacy. This portrayal not only honors these historical sites but also reminds audiences of the endurance and depth of Vietnamese heritage.
For the first time, the ceremony will integrate music, dance, and film with advanced 3D mapping. Expertly crafted costumes from the Dinh, Early Le, Ly, and Nguyen dynasties will add authenticity, creating a visually rich and historically immersive experience for all attendees.

The space will be adorned with antique tea tables and tea masters dressed in traditional costumes, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. You will also experience poetic works engraved on Duc Thuy Mountain through artistic displays and lighting. It showcases the priceless "heritage" of Duc Thuy Son, a special national site in Ninh Binh.
