Meaning of Trung Thap Tet

Traditionally, farmers in Vietnam will grow two rice crops a year. One crop will be planted in the spring and the second crop will be planted in the summer. Around the 9th lunar month, when the rice is ripe, people will harvest it and on the 10th or full moon day of the 10th lunar month, people will hold a new rice offering ceremony to celebrate a good harvest.

According to the history of traditional medicine: In the 10th lunar month of every year, the weather clearly transitions from the hot season to the main cold season.

Therefore, it creates extremely favorable conditions for precious medicines to grow quickly and with the best quality, so this day is also considered a New Year for doctors.
