About Gin Temple

Gin Temple (also known as Din Temple) is a historical relic of significant architectural and artistic value, recognized nationally by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 1962. Historical documents preserved at the site reveal that the temple serves as a place of worship and tribute to General Kieu Cong Han. He played a crucial role in aiding Ngo Quyen to defeat the Southern Han army on the Bach Dang River in 938, marking the beginning of national autonomy.

To honor his contributions, numerous temples have been constructed across various regions. Presently, there are 72 temples dedicated to him, spanning from Phu Tho province to Nam Dinh province. In Nam Truc district alone, there are two notable sites: Gin Temple in Chien Village, Nam Duong commune, and Tay Lac Temple in Dong Son commune.
