On the evening of October 4th, the festival will begin with an impressive opening show titled "The Essence of Ao Dai". This key highlight of the festival will recreate Hanoi's glorious history through the Ao Dai, presented in three chapters: "Golden History", "Bridging Cultures" and "The Journey of Expansion". Each chapter uses the Ao Dai as a metaphor, showcasing the development and flourishing of Hanoi's culture over the 70 years since liberation.

Ao Dai Carnival Parade program

On October 5, the Ao Dai Carnival Parade program with “Capital Women's Integration and Development”, will take place. The parade will follow a route from Doan Mon Square at the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center in Hanoi, passing through Hoang Dieu, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, and ending at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. More than 550 women from the capital area's wards, communes, and towns will participate in this grand event, showcasing impressive performances.

The program will feature dynamic and creative fashion shows, highlighting women's important role in preserving and promoting Vietnam's traditional beauty. The event aims to celebrate the strength, creativity, and contributions of women, while also emphasizing their significant role in the integration and development of the nation's cultural heritage.

On October 6th, the final round of the Ao Dai Design Contest will include exhibitions featuring famous Ao Dai brands from the three regions of North, Central, and South Vietnam. Demonstration of artisans' works, silk spinning, silk weaving... by artisans of traditional craft villages such as Trach Xa and Van Phuc silk villages. 

Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to enjoy traditional cuisine at the "Thang Long Five Flavors" space, explore products from craft villages, and witness live performances by artisans. The festival is a playground for designers and attracts the participation of the tourism and trade community. The event has over 80 to 100 booths displaying the latest Ao Dai collections. This is a multi-dimensional cultural and commercial exchange space.
