To promote the cultural and historical values, tourism, and unique attractions of Hanoi, the festival will be held under the theme "Hanoi Autumn - Historical Autumn". This event celebrates the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital (10/10/1954 - 10/10/2024), showcasing the unique values of traditional crafts and cultural heritage of Hanoi, and reflecting the artistic essence of the country with distinctive characteristics.

The Hanoi Autumn Festival is scheduled to take place over four days, from September 12, 2024, to September 15, 2024, at several locations including the Den Ba Kieu Flower Garden, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Ly Thai To Flower Garden (area 3 in front of the Ly Thai To Monument, Bat Giac House), Le Thach Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, and other districts and towns within the city.

The opening ceremony will be held from 19:30 to 20:00 on September 13, 2024, with an art program, "Hanoi Autumn - Historical Autumn" from 20:00 to 22:00 at the stage in the Den Ba Kieu Flower Garden. The event will feature around 150 booths, divided into areas such as a space recreating images of Hanoi on the day of victory, "Hanoi 12 Seasons of Flowers", "Hanoi Flavors" culinary space, and a space for promoting traditional craft products.
