The International Arts Festival Week in Hue boasts a program brimming with diverse activities.
The Arts Festival Week 2024 will feature programs and festivals with the participation of domestic and international art troupes and artists, showcasing the unique characteristics, sophistication, and diversity of both traditional and contemporary art from Vietnam and around the world.
The Hue International Arts Festival Week will include large-scale, unique festivals with main programs and numerous related activities throughout Hue city and nearby localities. Notably, the opening and closing ceremonies and the Trinh Cong Son music program will be held at Kien Trung Palace, the most splendid palace in Hue's capital.
The opening program of Hue Festival Week 2024, themed "A Radiant Aspiration for the Future," will showcase the essence of ancient Hue. This will be illuminated through a spectacular combination of Laser, LED Matrix, Hologram, and 3D Mapping on a semi-realistic art stage at Kien Trung Palace.

The opening night art program will feature performances and songs by both Vietnamese and international artists. This program will blend traditional values with contemporary art, capturing the essence of Hue and the unique cultural heritage of Vietnam and other countries worldwide.
The stage performances will highlight Hue City's theme of "Brightening the Heritage Region", showcasing sustainable development, a deep appreciation for nature, and a spirit of friendliness and peace. They will celebrate the "magical ancient capital", a land with a rich tradition of "tonal convergence" from domestic and international regions.

The Trinh Cong Son music program will feature an elaborate new staging by a crew from Ho Chi Minh City, including performances by several famous singers. The closing night of Festival Week will feature an art program presented by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
The stage, spanning over 1,500 square meters, is designed using 3D Mapping technology to transform Kien Trung Palace into a magical and splendid light display, highlighting its unique architecture and fine arts. This promises to offer residents and tourists fresh and unique experiences in culture, history, and art.

At the Bia Quoc Hoc community stage, popular young bands from Vietnam will perform, while the February 3 park stage in front of the University of Education will host performances by domestic and international art troupes. Additionally, a vibrant and colorful street festival will feature both local and international performers, and a light festival will illuminate Thai Binh Lau and Thieu Phuong Garden in the Hue Citadel.
There are also various special activities, including the Flower Garlands and Colored Lanterns Festival, the Culinary Festival, the Vietnamese Cake Festival, the Hue Vegetarian Cuisine Festival, and the "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival. Alongside these events, several displays and exhibitions will take place: the "Antiquities Convergence" exhibition will feature antique collectors from the North, Central, and South regions showcasing artifacts from the Nguyen Dynasty, and the People's Artist Tran Do exhibition will include a collection of dragon ceramics displayed at Kien Trung Palace.
