According to legend, a wealthy family lived in Thu Bon village, and they had a lovely daughter. Instead of crying when she was born, she smiled. She was able to use medical procedures to treat sick people at the age of five. At age 50, she was hailed as Our Lady of Perpetual Salvation for her dedication to saving people. At around noon on the 12th day of the second lunar month, she entered “Bong Lai” (fairyland). Before passing away, she sat in front of the house and gave a few instructions to people in the village.

  • A colorful procession: It is held on the eleventh day of the second lunar month including a big flag, lion, traditional music, a five-colored flag, a procession palanquin, gongs, escorting soldiers, and elders and women.
  • Water procession ceremony: This is the most exciting part of the ceremony, conducted from the early morning of February 12. Hundreds of people will carry out the water procession ceremony from the upper Thu Bon River to Dinh Ba.
  • Great ceremony at Dinh Ba: Local people will prepare solemn sacrifices including a cleaned buffalo, white sticky rice, fruit, etc. to offer to the Lady.
