From Ho Chi Minh City: Mekong Delta 3-Day Tour (Floating Market - Tra Su Cajuput Forest)

08:00: Tour guide and GTrip team will pick you up at your hotel. Depart for Mekong Delta to admire the rustic, idyllic but poetic beauty of the Southern Vietnam countryside, where there are vast rice fields, tropical fruits and poetic rivers. 

10:00: Visit Vinh Trang pagoda, which has a beautiful structure that features a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese,  Angkor (Cambodian) and European architectural styles. 

11:00: Embark on a boat to admire the four islets of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung on Tien River.

• A boat runs along floating fish rafts for you to learn how local people raise fish in the river.
• Continue boating to Ben Tre, weaving in the small canal to the garden restaurant. Here, you can ride bicycles on the village road to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the countryside, learn about the lives of local people, visit the bustling scene of the countryside market, see the rice fields, corn gardens, and so on. 
• Visit the rice mill, visit the coconut candy production facility, rice paper oven, coconut cake...etc..

12:30: Return to the garden restaurant for lunch. Take a rest. Enjoy local coconut.

14:00: The boat takes you back to the pier. Keep moving to Can Tho City - the heart of Mekong Delta.

Arrive in Can Tho. Check-in Hotel. Have dinner. Free at night. 

Recommended activities: visit Ninh Kieu Wharf to enjoy the nightlife. 

Overnight in Can Tho City. Finish Day 01!

06:30: Start early to visit Cai Rang Floating Market: 

• Get on a boat to take a boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta, where all goods trading takes place on the river. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. 
• Have a light breakfast on board like a local.
• Next, you will roam through the village, see fruit gardens and a rice noodles making shop. 

08:30: Disembark. Move to An Giang Province. On the way:

Visit Binh Thuy ancient house which was built in 1870 with Eastern architecture mixed with a little Western breath and contains the orchid garden where “The Lover” was filmed.

12:30: Enjoy lunch at Tra Su Tourism Area. Take a rest.

After lunch, Take a sampan to visit Tra Su Cajuput Forest, an ecosystem of cajuput trees that line dusty dirt paths and home to a large variety of birds and other wildlife. You will immediately feel like you are harmonizing with nature because of all of the impressive pictures of cajuput forest, the fragrance of the flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects and animals making people relaxed and comfortable. 

15:00: Arrive in Chau Doc City (An Giang Province). Check-in hotel in Chau Doc City. Take a rest.

Have dinner. Free at night

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Finish Day 02!

09:00: Visit Chau Phong Cham Ethnic Village with their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque, which is really unique in the Mekong Delta.

12:30:  Arrive in Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap province). Have lunch. Take a rest.

14h00: Keep moving back to Ho Chi Minh City. 

17:00–18:00: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City (depending on traffic situation)
