About Bo Sao Village
Bo Sao village is located at the junction of three major rivers: the Thao River, the Lo River, and the Da River. When the Great Flood occurred, King Hung dispatched Dinh Giang Quan and Dong Hai Quan to purify the water in order to help the people. Dong Hai Quan established his headquarters in Bo Sao village once the water treatment was completed to look after the people's lives, assist them make a living, and defend the communities. Dong Hai Quan ruled Bo Sao for three years, and the people lived in peace and prosperity. King Hung then dispatched Dong Hai Quan to Khoai Chau (Hung Yen) to regulate the water. Dong Hai Quan proved his worth once more by repelling natural disasters and floods. He returned to Bo Sao after a few years. People in the neighborhood wept and built temples to honor the merits. All dynasties ordained him as "Dong Hai Long Vuong sacrificed to god".

Meaning of Bo Sao village festival
Bo Sao Village Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that draws a significant number of locals and tourists. The celebration embodies the notion of drinking water and remembering the source of the people of Bo Sao, reflecting the thousand-year-old aspiration for a prosperous and happy existence. This celebration strives to respect our wet rice culture by having the people of the village perform the roles of plowing and transplanting people, harrowing, plowing, seeding, and so on, in order to recreate the beginning of his father's farming. The procession is brought on a palanquin to Duong temple on the 16th, where the plating tray is set on the altar to thank the gods before being transplanted.

Bo Sao Village Festival
The birthday celebration of Princess Hoang Ba is the most important festival during the feast days, with the cotton bandit and sword robbers attracting a huge number of people and tourists. The party begins on May 12, the opening day of the Doong Temple. The residents of Bo Sao performed a sombre parade with palanquins, drums, and gongs pounding throughout the countryside on May 15. The primary day of the princess's party is May 15. On the afternoon of May 15, an organized heist of swords and cotton was carried out. The sword and cotton represent the yin and yang virtues. The hamlet of Bo Sao chose a pure individual, and the family gave him a cotton tree and a sword without sorrow.
Cotton and swords were delivered to the gods on the afternoon of May 15 and then transported to the beach. Following the celebrant's reading of the liturgy, a man and a woman were chosen to dance; men dance swords, ladies cotton. Following the dancing, gongs and drums appear, and swords and cotton are tossed into the field. Those who want a son steal the sword, while those who want a girl steal cotton. The individual who stole the sword and cotton had to bring an offering to the Holy Spirit on May 24.

The inhabitants of Bo Sao celebrated the transplanting ceremony on the morning of May 16. Ma is placed on a palanquin and taken from his home to the Duong temple in accordance with God's ritual rite, complete with butchers, dragons, and quat flags... When the procession arrives at the temple yard, he is instructed to raise the plating tray to the altar in order to execute the ceremony. He then planted the seed in the field that had been plowed and stripped of the temple. After transplantation, the tree was hauled down and placed in the center of the newly transplanted rice clump. The ceremony is concluded.
